What I Hope To Do In 2019

This post is a bit late up since I chose to focus on my maths exam for the first few days of the year, but better late than never I say.

I never really got used to writing 2018 and now we're writing 2019 I'm going to slip up more than once I think.

This time last year instead of writing my goals of which I hoped I would achieve throughout 2018 I wrote a list of goals that I knew I wasn't going to be able to achieve. However this year I'm feeling more adventurous so I'm going to write up everything I want to do this year. Plus then I have you all to also make sure I'm keeping up with ticking things off my list.

My list isn't that different than any other year or any other person in some aspects. I hope to focus on my health inside and out, body and mind. I want to feel good about myself be that by the food I eat, the exercise I plan to do or the time I spend on my self. Even though these sort of goals are most seen around the new year and I'm sure everyone put one down on their new year resolutions list at least once in their lives, I still want to put them there. They're valuable goals, and the new year is a good time as any to get started on changing into the person you want to be.

A plan is a dream put into action.

I also hope to improve my skin more. Even though we really shouldn't care too much about appearances, my skin is a weak point for me, but over the last year and changes I made to both what I put inside my body and on the skin on the outside, there have already been some improvements. Not all goals have to be new some are just to carry on climbing that mountain.

Though there are some things that I do what to start doing in 2019 too.

I hope to start shopping more sustainable and ethical when it comes to clothes. Even if it's not all the time since sometimes you do just need a new pair of jeans and can't fork out a ton of money, where I can I want to try. I also want to try edging towards living a plastic-free lifestyle. I believe that even the smallest change can affect a bigger audience, so even if it's just me I hope to help out this world we are a part of.

And still, I have goals that have been there for years.

I hope to be more adventurous! In my style, in my photography, in what opportunities I grasp with both hands. The unknown scares me, as I'm sure it does many other people too, and for the last few years, I have been making my way out of the comfort bubble that I live in one step at a time. I have goals and places I want to get to, so 2019 is going to be another year where I push myself even more than I have ever done before.

The rest of my goals are blogging related ones since this is a huge part of my life.

I hope to care less about numbers. To the end of 2018, my numbers dropped. Maybe it was the content I was producing or the breaks I ended up taking since I priorities my studies, but at the end of the day, it did make me feel like I was losing something that I actually take so much pride in. But this year I want to focus less on the numbers and instead focus on content I enjoy producing even if I do lose a number here and there.

I also hope that I can bring adventurous Sophie to my blogging world more. I'd love to do more brand work, maybe even my first sponsored post. But at the end of the day I want to produce blog posts that really reflect who I am more; even if it is a bit tricky mixing physics and all the niches I cover on here.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what I achieve or don't achieve off this list, it's how much I'm living my life and if I'm enjoying it!

Do you have any goals for 2019?

- Sophie
